Info: They live in books and love to eat important or valuable words. They are dangerous to humans who get too near.

Fortune Teller

Info: Not a real fortune teller because she goes against the rules by pretending she has powers when she starts the future without even looking at Watanuki's data. If she had any connections to the spirit world or any magic powers, she would have had some reaction to Mokona.

Fûri

Form: A storm tanuki with magical powers.

Info: One of the Spirits after Watanuki's eye.

Girl at Inn

Info: Recognized Doumeki and warned him and Watanuki to leave the inn quickly, as her relatives eat their guests.

Himura Rikuou

Occupation: Works at a convenience store along with Kazahaya Kudou.

Info: Unknown to him or his friend, a female spirit wearing a kimono has attached herself to them.

Originally: Himura Rikuou in Gohou Drug

Hyakki Yakô

Info: The path the spirits take once a year, carrying Hôzuki's. At the end of the path is a tree which fills the Hôzuki with it's nectar, a special sake.

Inn's Owners

Info: Birds disguised in human form who eat their guests during the night. They will however get sidetracked if food, like fish, is thrown their way. Lucky for Watanuki and Doumeki, a girl warned them away before the birds came for them.

Kazahaya Kudou

Occupation: Works at a convenience store along with Himura Rikuou.

Info: Unknown to him or his friend, a female spirit wearing a kimono has attached herself to them.

Kohane's Mom

~ Schedules all appearances of her daughter and the fees attached. ~ Very aggressive and refuses to even touch Kohane for fear she would lose her powers. ~ Her bedroom is full of the clothes and jewelry she buys, using the money made from Kohane's appearances, even though her daughter's room is barren. ~ Very agressive towards Watanuki.

Mysterious Arm

Info: An arm that appears and anyone or anything that touches it gets dragged down into the ground and disappears. Nowadays not as many kids can see it. Watanuki rescues a young boy, who can see it, from touching it.

Mysterious Woman

Info: Befriends Watanuki, but the more time he spends with her, the sicker he gets. She says he reminds her of her dead son. But no matter how sick he gets, Watanuki keeps meeting with her. One day Doumeki follows him and reveals she's see-through. Firing a chi arrow, Doumeki dispells the woman. Later, Watanuki tells Yuuko that he doesn't want to know what the woman actually was, because to him she was a caring woman. Yuuko says that her last caring words were true.

Spider

Info: Watanuki got his arm stuck in a spider’s web and Doumeki destroyed it to free him. The spider made a grudge against Doumeki and took his right eye in revenge for destroying its home. The only way the spider will forget its grudge is if the object of the grudge suffers an equivalent amount of damage.

Strange Arm

Info: A mysterious hole that appeared next to Himawari. A webbed hand and scaled arm reached out from it, grabbing the container of sherbert. The hole reapeared a short time later to return to container, filled now with flowers as a thank you for the sherbert.

Subaru Sumeragi (unnamed)

Info: Yuuko mentions that there was a kind, hard-working medium they could have called for help with her most recent wish customer. He's nice, kind of young, and is very close with his twin sister (Hokuto). She's also known him since he was about as tall as her waist.

Woman

Info: A woman who sits at an open second-story window of the house where Watanuki and Doumeki had to make several trips to, filling round glass jugs with pure water from the well. On their last trip one of the carrying clothes got blown up through the window. Retrieving it, they discover the woman is in fact, dead.

Yata-Garasu

Info: One of the spirits after Watanuki’s right eye.

Legend: A bird that both inhabits and represents the sun. It exists throughout East Asian mythology. In Japan it’s the bird of the sun goddess, Amaterasu.

Young Girl

Info: A young girl who Watanuki met while doing the job for the Ame-warashi. After saving her from going down the wrong spiritual road, he returns with her skeleton. It turns out, she had gone missing a year ago, and had been lost under the hydrangeas.
